India’s first global conference on higher education welcomes NSDC CEO as Eduverse Summit 2023 speaker

Preparations for India’s most significant gathering of global higher education luminaries, Eduverse Summit 2023, have gained momentum with the inclusion of prominent industry experts and leaders as event speakers. Recently, Ved Mani Tiwari, CEO, National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) joined the summit as a distinguished speaker. 

 

The Eduverse Summit 2023 will host its inaugural edition from October 26-28, 2023, at JW Marriott, Aerocity, New Delhi. The event will welcome 1,200 global education leaders, higher education institute heads, reformers, industry experts, thought leaders and Indian policymakers. Distinguished experts from Canada, the US, the UK, Australia, the Asia-Pacific region and the UAE will collaborate with their Indian counterparts to initiate a global dialogue aimed at enhancing  higher education. Ved Mani Tiwari has three decades of experience working with the Government of India and key corporates in a wide range of sectors, including infrastructure, energy, urban development, and transportation. He is a strong advocate of using technology to democratize skill development, employment, and entrepreneurship. “In today’s scenario, the expectations from education and educational institutes have changed dramatically. Workplaces require a workforce that consistently invests in learning and development. Therefore, higher education has to move at a pace that is completely aligned with industry needs and how the workplaces of the future are going to work. Touted  as India’s first global conference on higher education, the summit will facilitate substantial discussion on innovative higher education practices, address pressing challenges, and define global trends for educators, institutions, and learners. The  summit’s spotlight will be its dedicated workshops for high school counsellors and agents. These industry-specific learning sessions will empower these education experts to understand the present scenario, share peer knowledge and industry best practices.

 

This summit will serve as a pivotal  industry platform to discuss the importance of skilling in the education system. It is being hosted at a time when India is undergoing an ‘Education Revolution’. Similar  to the White and Green Revolutions, the nation  is actively encouraging private, public, public-private  and international  collaborations to enhance  education accessibility, quality, and impact. India is poised to implement the extensively researched  National Education Policy 2020, with a strong emphasis on  equitable  access to education and vocational learning.

 

According to the  IBEF report, India had 38.5 Million students enrolled in higher education in 2019-20. In 2022 alone, 7.7 Lakh Indian students chose foreign universities for higher education and an equal number of learners are expected to explore international higher education options this year too. 

 

The Summit’s agenda has been meticulously  crafted to encompass  globally relevant topics,  including  student mobility, (facilitating student exchanges and study abroad initiatives), deciphering  education policy and reforms, examining  trends, addressing challenges, and providing  future insights.
