Central Depository Services (India) Limited (CDSL) Investor Protection Fund (IPF) announced the launch of ‘AtmanirbHER’, a flagship investor awareness campaign, empowering women to take control of their financial future through active participation in capital markets and be an Atmanirbhar Investor.
Recognising that women are increasingly aware of the importance of investing, ‘AtmanirbHER’ campaign highlights women's intrinsic strengths in managing various aspects of their lives and encourages them to apply these same principles towards investing for an Atmanirbhar future and attaining financial independence. The ad campaign, released on YouTube and other social media platforms, focuses on the need for women to translate their investment knowledge into action by beginning their financial journey toward long-term financial security and independence.
Speaking about the campaign, Ms. Nayana Ovalekar, Chief Regulatory Officer, CDSL and Trustee, CDSL IPF, said, “Today, women investors account for around 20% of demat account holders. We believe that with the right resources and support, women can unlock their full potential as investors and build a stronger, more secure future for themselves and their families. The rise in participation of women in capital markets signifies a broader trend towards expanding financial inclusion, as their role remains pivotal for a Viksit Bharat.”
CDSL IPF has consistently worked towards enhancing financial literacy across diverse groups, and the ' AtmanirbHER' campaign reinforces its commitment to inclusive investor education. The initiative aims to connect with women from various walks of life, making financial education accessible and impactful.
