KIMS Saveera Hospital Wins CAHO Award

KIMS Saveera Hospital Wins ‘The Consortium of Accredited Healthcare Organizations’ (CAHO) award for ACE Quality Improvement Program for CSSD 2022 -Medium Healthcare Organization Category.  Award presented to the hospital in the event of CAHOCON – 7th international conference of Consortium of Accredited Healthcare Organizations at Novotel Hyderabad Convention Centre.

On basis of the physical audit scores, hospitals upon meeting minimum of 80% compliance will be provided ACE certificate from CAHO and KIMS Saveera topped in the audit by scoring 95% and winning award for south region and one among the 5 hospitals all over India in this category.

Mr. Kishore Reddy, MD, KIMS Saveera Hospital, said, “The vision of any hospital is to provide safe and the best quality care to the patients. Preventing nosocomial infections has become the biggest challenge in providing safe care. The crucial role that CSSD plays in lowering the infection rate within the hospital cannot be over emphasized yet often it does not get the attention that it deserves from the management”

Dr.Ravi Shankar HOD – Quality & Pateint Safety department speaking with media expressed, “The scope of a CSSD department has expanded from a department with just an autoclave unit to play a pivotal role in ensuring dedicated workflow of sterile supplies and thus becoming an important pillar of infection prevention in a hospital.”

The award is received by the hospital team including Mr.Kishore Reddy ( Managing Director ) , Dr.RAVISHANKAR (HEAD- Quality & Patient Safety), Mr. Imran ( quality Manager ), Mr.Ramanjineyulu ( I/C- CSSD)
